Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyse the creative activity of actress Taisiia Lytvynenko and to show her contribution to the development of contemporary theatre in Ukraine on the basis of the stock collection of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. Research methodology. The historical and chronological principle, methods of analysis, systematisation, and theoretical generalisation were applied. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive analysis of Taisiia Lytvynenko’s creative activity as one of the leading Ukrainian actresses of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. For the first time, photos and documents from the collection of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine were used. Conclusions. As a result of the analysis of the study, it can be concluded that the special and original features of Taisiia Lytvynenko’s stage work were a deep penetration into the psychology of the character and its versatile disclosure; a detailed approach to the comprehension of the literary source. The formation of Taisiia Lytvynenko’s acting career in Ukrainian theatre and cinema is an important element of national culture, embodying the depth and richness of the Ukrainian soul. As one of the most significant representatives of Ukrainian theatre and cinema, she not only played a number of iconic roles in famous films, but also became a symbol of the invincibility and dignity of the Ukrainian people. An important aspect of the actress is also her pedagogical activity, which allowed her to continue not only her creative achievements, but also to leave a mark in art forever, thanks to her students who have been carrying on her school and talent for many years.
