Cultural Intelligence in the Art and Educational Space: Culturological Reflection

The purpose of the article is to provide a culturological reflection on the phenomenon of cultural intelligence and to determine its role in the development of the contemporary art and educational space of Ukraine as a cultural-creative system that integrates knowledge, creativity, value-oriented attitudes, and communicative openness. Research methodology. The theoretical and methodological framework is based on culturological, anthropological, and integrative approaches, which make it possible to consider cultural intelligence as a phenomenon formed in the interaction between education, art, and culture. The study employs methods of comparative analysis, culturological interpretation, and systematic generalisation. Scientific novelty. The article interprets cultural intelligence as an integrative culturological phenomenon that combines cognitive, emotional-value, and behavioural components and functions as a factor of cultural creation in the contemporary art and educational space of Ukraine. Its role is substantiated as a form of cultural resilience and a mechanism of the humanistic development of the individual. Conclusions. Cultural intelligence emerges not only as a set of cognitive, emotional-value, and behavioural components, but also acquires the meaning of an integrative cultural phenomenon that shapes the ability of individuals and communities to think, act, and feel their cultural individuality within a multidimensional cultural environment. The transformation of art education lies in the creation of a fundamentally new culture-forming environment, where the capacity to see, comprehend, and create new meanings is developed – to combine tradition with innovation, and the national with the universal. In times of sociocultural upheaval, war, and collective trauma, cultural intelligence turns the artistic and educational space into an environment of resilience, where traumatic experience can be reinterpreted through creativity, and where meanings and values become points of support. Cultural intelligence is not so much an instrument as a form of being of contemporary art and educational culture – that which enables it to endure change, preserve values, and at the same time open new horizons of creativity and humanistic development.
