The purpose of the article is to analyse the key aspects of the formation of the identity of football clubs in Ukraine, taking into account regional peculiarities, to identify the main trends in the development of football design and to outline the prospects for its further evolution. Research methodology. The methods of comparative analysis, graphic research, historical and cultural approach, and structural modelling of identity elements are used in the study. The results of the analysis will contribute to understanding the role of visual identity in building the image of a football club and its integration into the sports and cultural space of Ukraine. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a comprehensive analysis of the identity of football clubs in Ukraine, taking into account regional peculiarities, which allows to identify the patterns of formation of the visual identity of clubs in the context of local culture, historical traditions and urban processes. For the first time, the paper systematises the main trends in the development of football design in Ukraine, applies structural modelling of identity elements to identify the key factors of its evolution, and substantiates the prospects for further development of the visual identity of Ukrainian football clubs as an important component of their branding and integration into the international sports space. Conclusions. This study allows us to make a number of important generalisations that reveal the characteristic features of the formation of visual identities of football clubs in different regions of Ukraine. It has been found that each region has a unique set of cultural, historical, economic and social factors that directly affect the formation of club identity. In particular, local traditions, architectural heritage, natural landscapes, industrial features, and even dialectal differences are reflected in the choice of colours, fonts, and graphic elements of emblems. The regional specificity of identity not only shapes the visual style of the club, but also performs an important socio-cultural function, strengthening the connection between the team and its fans. Identity becomes a means of identifying the club in the local environment and emphasises its connection with the region, contributing to the development of the club brand both nationally and internationally.
