Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyse the features of the repertoire of choral groups of Ukraine in modern socio-cultural conditions and to determine the main trends in its development. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive analysis of the repertoire and concert activities of Ukrainian choral groups, including historical-typological and socio-cultural approaches. The scientific novelty lies in the comprehensive study of the repertoire policy of Ukrainian choral groups as a factor in preserving cultural identity and adapting to the socio-cultural challenges of modernity. Conclusions. Currently, the repertoire policy of Ukrainian choral groups is characterized by several important trends: the combination of different historical eras in concert programmes, as many choral projects combine music from different periods – from ancient sacred music to modern compositions; expansion of the genre spectrum, when the repertoire includes spiritual concerts, cantatas, vocal and symphonic works, as well as arrangements of folk songs; use of multimedia technologies, as modern choral groups actively use digital platforms, online concerts and virtual choral projects, which allows to expand the audience of listeners; reaction to social events, for example, during the Russian-Ukrainian war, a significant number of patriotic works appeared in the repertoire, reflecting modern historical events and contributing to the consolidation of society. Special attention is required to adapt choral art to the conditions of war: remote rehearsals, online concerts, and mobile performances allow maintaining performing skills, to attract displaced persons and younger participants. Such repertoire policy becomes not only an artistic, but also a socio-cultural tool for supporting national identity and the spiritual state of society.
