The study aims to examine illusionism practices as a universal socio-cultural tool for the psycho-emotional recovery of society in times of crisis. The research of methodology is based on analytical, interpretative, and comparative methods, as well as theoretical generalisation, to explore illusionism as a phenomenon of performance culture and a means of emotional support and cultural interaction in contemporary critical socio-cultural conditions. The scientific novelty. The study considers illusionism not only as a form of entertainment performance but also as a practice capable of providing psycho-emotional support. It outlines the impact of illusionistic performances on the emotional state of audiences and highlights their role in shaping positive emotional experiences, particularly in crisis contexts, including the case of Ukraine. Conclusions. The art of illusionism is a specific form of spectacle culture that combines elements of theatrical action, plastic and technical performance, and aesthetic-interactive engagement with the audience. In the contemporary sociocultural space, this art form is not limited solely to an entertainment function; rather, it acquires the capacity to influence the emotional state of the audience, shaping an experience of positive perception and temporary detachment from tense external critical circumstances. Through the dynamics of performative activity, illusionistic performances demonstrate a unique ability to adapt to various social conditions while maintaining their relevance and demand within the audience environment. In this context, the identified art form may be considered one of the modes of cultural interaction that responds to the growing societal need for emotional recovery and psychological support, particularly under conditions of social crisis..
