The purpose of the study is to analyse the role of artistic institutions in shaping the cultural agenda in the context of digital transformations and to identify the mechanisms of their influence on cultural communication and the production of social meanings in the digital environment. The methodology is based on an interdisciplinary approach incorporating cultural studies, socio-cultural, and media communication analysis. Systemic, structural-functional, comparative methods, and discourse analysis are applied to examine the transformation of artistic institutions and the formation of the cultural agenda under conditions of digitalisation. The theoretical framework is grounded in the concepts of digital culture, algorithmic mediation, and platform-based infrastructures of culture. The scientific novelty lies in the theoretical conceptualisation of the transformation of the cultural agenda under conditions of digital change and in defining artistic institutions as key intermediaries in the interaction between algorithmically driven digital platforms and networked audiences. The study refines the role of digital platforms as infrastructures of cultural mediation that shape mechanisms of visibility, hierarchisation, and circulation of cultural content. Conclusions. The cultural agenda in the digital era emerges as a result of the interaction between artistic institutions, digital platforms, and networked audiences, acquiring a multi-layered structure. Digitalisation increases the role of algorithmic mechanisms and the attention economy, transforming traditional models of cultural representation. Artistic institutions evolve by combining heritage preservation with active participation in the production of cultural meanings and public discourse. Digital platforms function as key mechanisms of cultural mediation, while audiences become active participants in cultural communication.
