The purpose of the study is to analyse the museum and excursion activities of NAOMA as an integral component of innovative art education, determine its role in the formation of cultural identity, the development of students’ creative thinking, and the introduction of modern artistic practices into the educational process. The methodological basis of the study is a complex of general scientific and special methods, due to the interdisciplinary nature of the problem. The systematic approach made it possible to consider the museum and excursion activities of NAOMA as a holistic phenomenon in the relationship of educational, scientific and cultural and artistic processes; socio-cultural – to comprehend museum and excursion activities as a factor in the formation of cultural memory, worldview orientations, influence on artistic processes in Ukraine, and is a specific segment in the state cultural policy; institutional and functional – to determine the main functions of museum and excursion activities (educational, enlightening, educational, communicative, representational) and its place in the innovative model of art education. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the understanding of the museum and excursion activities of NAOMA as an integrative phenomenon that not only contributes to the preservation and development of academic art education, but also represents the cultural and artistic life of the Academy, ensures synergy between the educational process and cultural heritage, serving as a basis for the formation of modern innovative artistic practices. Conclusions. Museum and excursion activities occupy an important place in the structure of NAOMA, providing a holistic theoretical and practical educational process. It contributes to supporting the creative searches of future artists, forming their professional thinking and focusing on the values of each work of art as a component of cultural heritage. The NAOMA Art Museum, as a historical, cultural and artistic and educational institution, creates conditions for creative self-realisation, development of creative individuality and formation of national identity of student artists, as well as for improving the artistic educational process. Large-scale cultural and artistic projects implemented within the walls of NAOMA have important social and international significance, as they contribute to the preservation and popularisation of Ukrainian art, represent Ukrainian art education and national art in the world cultural space.
