The purpose of the work is to reveal, through the prism of the scientific achievements of Ukrainian art scholars, the peculiarities of the formation of the national style of contemporary chamber instrumental performance culture. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive approach that combines the historical-genetic method (to trace the evolution of performance traditions), comparative analysis (to compare national and global stylistic trends), system analysis to identify the components of the style of Ukrainian musical culture, art studies analysis (to analyse the creative heritage of the outstanding Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk, which is significant in the cultural and artistic environment of contemporary Ukraine), and a system-cultural approach (to comprehend performance culture as an integral phenomenon within the framework of contemporary scientific discourse). The hermeneutic method is also applied to interpret the means of expression that shape the national specificity of the chamber instrumental style. Scientific novelty. For the first time, an attempt has been made to trace the stages of the formation of the national style in domestic chamber instrumental performance through the prism of contemporary scientific studies. Conclusions. Performance culture is defined as a multifunctional phenomenon that makes it possible to consider the chamber instrumental sphere not only as a result of mastering technical skills, but also as a complex interaction of the musician’s cognitive and creative abilities and the artistic-imagery sphere of the musical material.
