Study of fare payment in metro from the point of view of automation problems

Abstract

The article outlines an important task of control automation of transport fares payment. The study aims to optimize the use of transport in general; in particular, the greatest effect should be expected in case of localized transport systems, such as metros or commuters. In addition, the results will be useful for other cases of control of fares payment at high intensity of transactions. For problems of optimal parameters of automation system of fares payment in "Kharkiv Metro" we presented the results of researches of passengers choice when choosing ways to pay fares and choice of notes and coins used. The deep analysis of the experimental results allowed using them in the development of automated collection of fare. The improvement of link of the transportation process, lightened in the article, helps prevent dangerous situations when serving passenger traffic with high intensity.
