With one voice the theoretical analysis of the possibilities to increase productivity in grinding process and turning for a given slice thickness, determined strength properties tool. A new analytical dependence for the average slice thickness for grinding, which is different from the known dependence of a digital coefficient, which opens up new possibilities determining the conditions of intensifying the process of grinding. The experimentally determined values of tool life for grinding and turning work sneeze (contact) surfaces of cups and cones Sediment apparatus blast furnace restored using durable surfacing material. It is proved that in terms of reducing the costs associated with the consumption of cutting tools for a given processing performance, effectively apply the grinding process
