Abstract

The paper presents the results of industrial research of the developed mixer-homogenizer in conditions of a slurry plant PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih". A feature of the mixer is ensuring simultaneous disintegration and homogenization process flow using the natural gravity effect. The purpose of the research was determining the mixer-homogenizer performance characteristics and effectiveness evaluation. As a result of the studies, process and power parameters of the mixer were specified, reliability and durability of its individual components were evaluated. Also, it was found that the designed mixer meets the reliability requirements for machines, operated in the sintering and blast-furnace production. The obtained results allow to improve the mixer design, develop an optimal maintenance schedule, identify measures to reduce energy consumption.
