The paper presents the analytical expressions for the determination of the basic parameters of grinding with the amount of linear wear of grains, which allows for a more reliable estimate of the technological capabilities of grinding in terms of increased productivity and quality of processing. Established theoretically decisive effect radius rounding the cutting edge grain on the basic energy component of processing - the ratio of the thickness of the cut to the radius of the cutting edge rounding of grain, which indicates a need for a high cutting capacity in terms of processing
