Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify the patterns of communication of the music producer in the studio with the participants of the musical project: musicians and musicians. The research methodology assumes an appeal to a general scientific approach; also comparative and historical-logical methods are applied. Scientific novelty consists in an attempt to comprehend and generalize the basic principles of musical producer’s work in the context of studio practice. Conclusions. The music producer is a strategist in the field of sound recording and concert activity; he forms the taste of the future listener; the producer is the head of the creative team, who imagines the final sound of the phonogram; he bears the highest responsibility for the results of work in the studio. The interaction of the producer with the members of the collective is creative and interactive; it is built on the appropriate hierarchy, cooperation, and responsibility of each project participant for its link. Producer's actions are subordinated to the primary task – the successful recording of the project, both from the creative side and from the commercial side. The music producer invests his talent, reputation, money, future rating in a musical track or concert sound and forms the artistic style of the artists. For any successful and original "sound" (as history proves), there is always a specificproducer.
