Abstract

The purpose of the article is to research and develop algorithms for the operation of modern software of the professional music editor MuseScore 4.2. The research methodology is based on the application of general logical methods of cognition, namely, analysis, synthesis, and induction. The scientific novelty lies in the identification and development of purposeful methods of work in the professional music editor MuseScore 4.2, which allows the creation of musical compositions for piano, guitar, orchestra, choral parts, musical groups, marching bands in various styles using modern software tools, as well as the possibility of using music information technologies in the further artistic practice of musicians, composers, arrangers, sound producers, sound engineers, producers and in professional music education. Conclusions. MuseScore is a free and multifunctional music notation editor that is not inferior in its capabilities to many commercial counterparts. It is perfect for beginner musicians, students of music education institutions and professionals who are looking for a free and high-quality solution for creating and editing notes.
