The influence of substantial surface overheating of rails upon the formation of large austenite grain was s shown in the article, leading to insufficient yield strength. Also investigated was the influence of heating rate upon yield strength. Raising the temperature of heating speed from 900 to 1040oС enlarges austenitic grain rail steel and reduces its viscosityReferences
